The Bundoora office in Victoria opened on 20 April and will be led by Pincipal Tony Nguyen.
The Announcement:
Hockingstuart has announced the opening of its newest office in Bundoora, led by Principal Tony Nguyen.
Tony joins Hockingstuart having spent 15 years developing innovative businesses across Australia, Vietnam and Singapore.ย
Located 16km north-east of Melbourneโs CBD, Bundoora is regarded as a crossroad for the cityโs eastern and western suburbs, with major highways and train lines connecting to Melbourne Airport.
Home to RMIT and Latrobe university campuses and close to Melbourne Polytechnic school, the suburb enjoys a vibrant demographic, mixing students with established families who have long enjoyed the localeโs large block sizes.ย
Hockingstuart Bundoora Principal, Tony Nguyen commented on the rationale behind the launch.
โOff the back of COVID, weโve seen some major shifts in the market. Families have left the inner city searching for more space, leading to a competitive market in suburban and regional areas.
“This trend has motivated many older generations with properties on big blocks to sell and move to smaller-scale, newer houses.
“Investors have also taken note of the trend and diversified their strategies into real estate, focusing on renovating smaller dwellings into family homes. This activity has created a good supply of rental and sale listings in Bundoora and surrounding areas.ย
โSeveral high-rise buildings are also under construction or in planning, as the suburb prepares to welcome back international arrivals, namely students and investors, post-COVID.
“Weโre particularly seeing a high intake of young Asian immigrants, looking to capitalise on the areaโs proximity to nearby educational institutions, the international airport, and green spaces,โ Tony said.ย ย ย
ย โLooking at the trajectory of Bundoora, it made sense for us to partner with Hockingstuart, combining our teamโs experience working in Asian markets and the brandโs reputation for innovative sales and marketing.โ
Renowned for its stronghold in volume-driven markets, Hockingstuart has had a landmark presence in the Victorian real estate industry since 1985.
The brand is celebrated as one of the most dynamic in the sector, thanks to its commitment to above-and-beyond customer service and innovation.
In 2019 Hockingstuart merged with boutique real estate brand, Belle Property, creating a nationwide network of over 160 offices and enabling the two brands to benefit synergistically from each otherโs strengths.
Hockingstuart and Belle Property CEO, Peter Hanscomb, also commented on the launch of the new Bundoora office.
โWeโre thrilled to insert our brand into the thriving multi-cultural suburb of Bundoora; championed by long-time local, Tony Nguyen.ย
โThe new franchise heralds our expansion into Melbourneโs northeast, as we look to meet the regionโs growing needs withย our hard-working agents, best-in-class customer service, and exceptional sales records,โ said Peter.
