Misal Patel and Khushi Shah are preparing to open Harcourts Para Hills, bringing a full-service sales and property management business into the South Australian network.

The pair joined forces in 2024 with the goal of building a business spanning both sales and property management. In the 24 months since, they have tripled their rent roll and established a strong sales business in the local market.

Misal Patel brings more than 23 years of sales experience across India, New Zealand and Australia, including three years specialising in real estate, with a background in sales, marketing, negotiation and communication.

Khushi Shah brings more than a decade of experience in IT and marketing alongside more than 10 years as a property developer, with experience across property development, investment, rental returns and digital marketing.

Harcourts SA chief executive Heather Edwards said the office was a strong addition to the state network.

“Misal and Khushi have already demonstrated that they know how to build a successful business, with the growth of their rent roll and sales results speaking for themselves,” Heather said.

“What particularly stands out is the breadth of experience they bring. They combine strong property knowledge with technology, marketing and an international perspective, but just as importantly, they have a genuine focus on their clients and the communities they serve.”

Misal said the decision to join Harcourts came once the pair were ready to take their business into its next stage of growth.

“Once we started looking at the options, Harcourts was the clear choice,” he said.

“We wanted a brand that was well known and respected, but also one where we felt there was genuine support behind the name. From our first conversations, we felt that was exactly what Harcourts offered.”

The new office will use data analysis, digital marketing, targeted social media campaigns and virtual tours to maximise property exposure, combining its established property management operation with an active sales business under the Harcourts Para Hills banner.

Khushi said the pair’s own experience as property developers, investors and business owners shapes the advice they give clients.

“Our experience means we understand that every client has a different reason for making a property decision,” she said.

“Whether someone is buying their first home, selling, investing or looking at a development opportunity, we want to provide clear advice and make sure they understand their options.”

Having each lived across multiple countries before building their careers in Australia, the pair say that background informs how they work with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.

“Our own journeys have shaped the way we work,” Khushi said.

“We know what it’s like to build a new life, make significant financial decisions and put down roots in a new community. We want our clients to feel that they have people alongside them who genuinely understand what they’re trying to achieve.”

Misal said the office opening marks the next stage for the business.

“We’re proud of what we’ve achieved in the last two years, particularly tripling our rent roll and growing our sales business,” he said.

“But we see this as the beginning of the next stage. We want to keep growing, keep delivering great results and become a trusted part of the Para Hills community.”
