Gwyneth Paltrow’s childhood home on sale for $17.5 million

Academy Award winner Gwyneth Paltrow’s childhood home in Los Angles has hit the market with an asking price of US$17.5 million.

According to TopTenRealEstateDeals.com, the actress lived in the Santa Monica mansion for most of her early life, before the property was eventually sold in 2008.

Over the years the mansion has been extensively renovated and includes modern technology such as solar panels, backup generators, security cameras, and electronically gated entries.

The 639sq m property includes six bedrooms and six-and-a-half bathrooms, a large living room with fireplace and its own theatre.

There’s a light-filled chef’s kitchen with a marble island bench, dining area and top-of-the-line Wolf and Subzero appliances.

All the bedrooms are located upstairs, including the master suite, which boasts dual bathrooms, a luxurious walk-in closet and a balcony overlooking the pool.

Over in the guesthouse, there’s also an office, bedroom and gym as well as a three-car garage that is designed to show off your auto collection.
