Directors Michael Ferguson, Lachelle Ferguson and Kathleen Fairweather are rebranding their Sydney agency to LJ Hooker, bringing their offices in Forestville and Narrabeen into the network under the new name LJ Hooker Alliance Group.
The move follows more than two decades in business for the trio, who have built a presence across Sydney’s Northern Beaches and Forest districts.
Michael said the decision came down to finding a network that could support the team’s ambitions.
“We wanted a partner that would provide strong marketing, technology, training and business support while empowering our team to strive for growth and exceptional service,” he said.
“The LJ Hooker team struck a balance between being highly professional and genuinely approachable. Their commitment to building a dynamic, collaborative brand, where every role plays a vital part in our overall success, was inspiring. The new look and vibrant energy surrounding the brand resonated strongly with us.”
LJ Hooker General Manager Stephan Gervois welcomed the trio and their teams to the network.
“Their decision to join LJ Hooker after more than two decades with another network is a strong endorsement of the direction of our brand and the value we offer ambitious business owners,” he said.
“Businesses of this calibre make our entire network stronger. Michael, Lachelle, Kathleen, along with their dedicated teams, bring professionalism, integrity, outstanding leadership and a genuine client-first culture, all qualities that align closely with LJ Hooker.”
For Kathleen, the move carries personal significance. She bought her first home in Australia with her late husband Brian through LJ Hooker in 2003. Brian went on to build a strong reputation in the local area, and in 2012 joined forces with Michael and Lachelle, working together as one team until his death in early 2025.
“Our focus has been to honour what Brian created while continuing to build for the future,” Kathleen said.
“We have remained committed to the same principles that guided Brian’s approach – genuine relationships, exceptional service and being part of the community.
“The connection with LJ Hooker is particularly meaningful as the brand played an important role in the early development of Killarney Heights, selling land that established the suburb – so in many ways it is a welcomed homecoming.”
LJ Hooker Alliance Group has set four objectives for the next 12 months: market leadership, operational excellence, rent roll growth and team development, including work to optimise its database and CRM systems for client communication.
“We want to successfully execute our rebranding and amplify our presence across the Northern Beaches and the Forestville area,” Michael said.
“We will also be empowering some of our experienced agents to step into lead roles, supported by our associate team, to further enhance our service capacity.”
