Former REA Executive Tom Ainsworth is joining Domain Group as Executive Director of Residential Sales.
Mr Ainsworth is currently Senior Vice President of marketing, go to market, research, sales enablement and sales at Move, Inc., publisher of the US’ second largest real estate portal, realtor.com.
He was director of sales at REA Group from 2012 to 2015 prior to moving to Move Inc, which is 80 per cent owned by News Corp and 20 per cent owned by REA.
Mr Ainsworth said the opportunity was “very motivating”.
“In the US, I have been responsible for digital media and agent services such as professional software and customer relationship management systems, which are the future.” Mr Ainsworth said.
“Like the leading businesses I observed in the US, Domain is focused on disruption as a key competitive advantage. As a result, the business is well-positioned to challenge the status quo and deliver even better experiences for customers and consumers.”
Mr Ainsworth said Domain’s close partnerships with its customers was a natural cultural fit for an “incredibly customer-centric” executive.
