Danielle Mariu of Port Hedland, WA wins Josh Phegan’s Changed Agent Award for 2017

The Josh Phegan team held their annual Blue-print conference in Sydney at the stunning IVY in George Street on Tuesday the 15th and Wednesday the 16th of August 2017. At the event, four incredible finalists from across Australia were invited to share their story of triumphs from humble beginnings in the annual Changed Agent Awards proudly supported by Agent Box. The winner of the award receives over $16,000 in cash and prizes, including a full day of coaching with Josh.

Mr Phegan spoke to us about the drive behind the awards program: “Our purpose as a company is to inspire estate agents to achieve their potential and financial freedom. The best way to do that is through real agents telling their stories on what they’ve done to take what they have learned in training and apply it in the real world.”

“This years field was incredible, we had four agents all in very different markets, achieving remarkable growth in under the last 12 months.”

The four finalists for this year’s award included:

  • Anthony McCormack – Luton Properties Canberra ACT
  • Danielle Mariu – Hedland First National – Port Hedland WA
  • James Gwynne – Harcourts Solutions – Mitchelton – QLD
  • Ilona Barry – LJ Hooker – Mudgeeraba – Gold Coast – QLD

The finalists, selected from a field of over 50 applications, were invited to speak for 15 minutes at the Blue-Print conference in front of over 250 people. The audience then voted in a private ballot, on who they believed had achieved the most growth.

This year’s winner was Danielle Mariu. “Danielle’s results are truly outstanding, her market place over the last three years has seen a 62% reduction in the average sale price with the full effects of the mining slow down in force. She’s achieved significant income and sales growth despite the more than harsh conditions. 119% growth in her transaction numbers, and 38% increase in income, see’s her battling it out day in day out to achieve amazing results. She’s built an incredible team around her, gone all in on social media, and done the hard work on the phones, caring for her clients and helping them through incredible hardship as many clients have lost tens of thousands of dollars with the change in market conditions” said Mr Phegan.

The Real Estate Blue-print now moves to Queenstown in New Zealand in September on the 12th and 13th, where four finalists from New Zealand will compete in the Changed Agents Award, proudly supported by the Property Press. Tickets are available at www.joshphegan.com.au/bp.
