Colliers Izabella Minas secured two deals within her first month of joining the CBD office leasing team

She’s one of two female property young guns to have taken the office market by storm in 2022.

The Announcement:

Izabella Minas has recently joined Colliers in Melbourne as Executive of Office Leasing.

She will focus on the middle markets within the CBD office leasing team, located in Colliers Melbourne CBD office.

Despite her young age, Izabella has gained valuable exposure to various parts of the property sector in her previous roles, having worked at a boutique retail agency and Gross Waddell ICR, where she managed a mixed commercial portfolio consisting of retail, office and industrial assets ranging from retail strip shops to industrial warehouses to motels across Melbourne.

She joins Colliers from Savills, where she held the position of Executive in their CBD Office Leasing team.

Colliers’ National Director of Office Leasing, Andrew Beasley, said Colliers are always looking to add young talent to the team.

“We’re always excited to take on young, driven talent, and Izabella has already contributed to the team’s success by securing two deals within her first month,” said Mr Beasley.

“With Izabella’s appointment, Colliers Leasing continues to drive our diversity, with the highest number of female operators compared to our competitors. We’re excited to see young women develop and succeed within our business,” Mr Beasley added.

Although relatively new to the office leasing market, Izabella has long had a keen interest in property, having grown up in a family involved in the property, which early on helped drive her interest

“I’m fortunate to have gained invaluable experience in previous roles, allowing a seamless transfer into agency. Coming into the role with a clear understanding of the fundamentals of property and the implication of negotiations have been beneficial,” Ms Minas said.

“I’m excited to have joined the team at Colliers to accelerate my career further. Securing two deals within my first month is certainly a good start.

“To succeed as an agent, I believe operating with honesty and integrity is important. Whilst always keeping the client’s best interests in mind, I treat tenants with the same respect, which I picked up in my property management background and have found valuable across the board,” Ms Minas concluded.

Georgina Murray is another young talent who joined the office leasing team this year. She was offered an executive role within the Melbourne CBD team after completing Colliers’ Graduate Program in 2021.

“Colliers’ Graduate Program was a valuable way into the property industry, providing insights into various parts of the market. The office market resonated the most with me, and now is an exciting time to work within that segment.

“It’s been lots of movement in the office market this year coming out of the pandemic, and the sub 500sqm market is currently thriving. We’ve seen a mix of tenants taking the opportunity to “rightsize” office space to suit the new ways of working, which is expected to continue in 2023,” Ms Murray concluded.
