Cher’s former Miami mansion hits the market

Cher’s remarkable real estate journey continues as a Miami mansion from her collection in the 1990s gets listed for sale.

Located on the prestigious La Gorce Island in Florida, this Moorish-meets-Spanish-style property stands amidst 29 other exclusive waterfront homes, providing an elite living experience.

The current sellers are James Eaton, the head of a Canadian private holding firm, and his wife, Cecily Eaton, according to the Robb Report.

The duo acquired this impressive 1157sq m estate for a whopping $17 million in 2020. This is significantly more than the $1.5 million Cher shelled out in 1993.

Over the past three years, the Eatons have heavily renovated the residence.

They’ve uplifted certain areas, like raising some ceilings and transforming a covered terrace into a brand-new dining room and lounge.

The expansive mansion now features six bedrooms, nine bathrooms, and a notable 48-metre stretch overlooking Biscayne Bay.

The panoramic bay views are breathtaking, and maritime enthusiasts will find it convenient to moor their yacht directly at the property.

Though it’s been nearly three decades since Cher, the iconic Strong Enough singer, owned the house, its opulence remains undeniable.

Highlighted by a double-height foyer with towering 5.8-metre ceilings and magnificent dual staircases, the lavish ambience persists.

The house also boasts a gourmet kitchen adorned with gold accents, and the primary bedroom includes a marble-laden bathroom and a secluded terrace.

In addition, an Art Deco-themed bar area enveloped in custom abstract wallpaper exudes sophistication.

The mansion’s luxury amenities contribute to its considerable asking price.

Some standout features are the top-floor gym, a 15-metre swimming pool, and a Palm Beach-styled pool house.
