Australian supermodel Kristy Hinze Clark and her husband, Netscape founder Jim Clark have sold their Florida home for a record-setting $251 million.
According to realestate.com.au, the power couple look set to make a staggering $81 million profit on the sale in just 15 months on what was a “spur of the moment purchase”.
The Palm Beach home boasts more than three football fields of water frontage, a three-hole PGA standard golf course, 30 bedrooms and 360-degree water views.
The home is located on an exclusive barrier island, only accessible by a series of tunnels, but is only a short drive from the upscale shopping and dining district of Worth Avenue, Palm Beach.
According to a previous listing, the “15-acre ocean-to-lake estate stands alone in all of the Palm Beaches for its beauty, privacy, amenities and sheer scale”.
“A true family compound, the estate offers a 12-bedroom main residence; two four-bedroom beachside cottages; the seven-bedroom Mango House; and a guest or staff house comprising four studios and apartments,” the listing said.
“In total there are more than 30 bedrooms, a series of formal and informal living and dining areas, a media room, libraries, offices, numerous terraces, an expansive wine cellar and two elevators.”
Hinze who was originally from Queensland, made her name as a model at 14 when she appeared in Australian Vogue before going on to model for Sports Illustrated and the Victoria’s Secret Catalogue.
