Just eight weeks into CoStar Group’s ownership, Domain is gaining serious momentum as Australians embrace a fresh alternative in property search, with its platforms recording 55.1 million visits in October 2025, up 46% year on year.
Domain also achieved fastest growing visits among Australia’s major property portals during October, highlighting growing consumer appetite for more choice, cleaner experiences, and stronger competition in the category.`
The uplift comes as Domain invests heavily in marketing, user experience and customer service, with improvements clearly resonating with consumers, agents and commercial customers.
Jason Pellegrino, President Domain, CoStar Group said Domain’s momentum shows the market is ready for genuine competition.
“Australians and agents have been hungry for choice. Our platforms are delivering record growth because people are responding to what we stand for, a professional and modern property experience. Our record visits and double-digit growth in listing views show we’re building a quality audience at scale.”
Alongside its audience growth, Domain has rolled out a series of targeted product enhancements, improving search simplicity, visual presentation and access to richer, more insightful property data.
“We’re not chasing gimmicks. Our focus is on deliberate, high-impact improvements that respect the trust Australians place in Domain to present their homes professionally, and that deliver strong campaign performance for agents.”
On 24 November 2025, IPSOS Iris audience data is expected to further confirm the gap between Domain and its nearest competitor, REA.

Domain sets new standard: removes third-party ads from property advertising
Domain is setting a new standard in the online property experience, becoming the only major property marketplace to remove third-party, non-property advertising from its platforms.
The change, rolling out from 1 December 2025 across domain.com.au, allhomes.com.au, and commercialrealestate.com.au, will deliver a cleaner, faster, and more focussed experience for agents, vendors and buyers.
The move comes as Domain calls on the industry to lift its standards in how homes are marketed online. Backed by a more than twofold increase in marketing investment, Domain has recorded unprecedented audience growth in recent months, reflecting growing consumer demand for a clearer, more respectful property experience.
Jason Pellegrino, President, Domain – CoStar Group, said the decision reflects Domain’s commitment to building trust and quality into every part of the property journey.
“When someone lists their property, they’re investing thousands of dollars to showcase their homes – not to compete with ads for credit cards or holidays,” Mr Pellegrino said.
”We’re here to raise the standard. Australians deserve an experience focused entirely on property. Vendors should expect that a portal will showcase their listing – not sell against it with unrelated products or competing offers.
“Our industry needs to move beyond short-term, ‘penny pinching’ models that erode trust and detract from the quality of the property campaign. Consumers don’t want the clutter, and vendors shouldn’t expect it,” he added.
“Letting go of non-property ad revenue is a small price to pay for a better experience for everyone, and it’s just the beginning of what’s to come as we continue to raise the bar of what a great property marketing experience should be.”
Under CoStar Group ownership, Domain is leveraging world-class technology already used across the US to deliver faster page performance, sharper image display, and a more transparent marketplace that respects the integrity of both the consumer experience and the vendor’s investment.
The change marks a major step forward for the industry and Domain as it reinforces its position as a platform built on fairness, transparency and innovation under its new CoStar Group ownership.
