The 43-year-old actor, who purchased the property in 2013 for US$3.52 million, is set to make a substantial profit on the sale after owning the home for over a decade according to Realtor.com.
The four-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom dwelling features sweeping views of the Santa Monica Mountains and surrounding canyons.
The listing is held by Scott Moore of Christie’s International Real Estate Southern California, who said Evans’ decision to sell stems from his desire to return to his Massachusetts roots.
“After over a decade of amazing memories in his L.A. home, Chris is planning to move to the East Coast to be closer to family,” Moore said in a statement.
Evans, who married Portuguese actress Alba Baptista in 2023, told the Wall Street Journal that the panoramic views were what initially attracted him to the “stunning and inspiring” property located in the Hollywood Hills.

The 1940s-era home showcases numerous upgrades and personal touches added by the actor during his ownership.
The property features an open floor plan with vaulted open-beamed ceilings and expansive picture windows that maximise the scenic vistas.
The interior boasts sophisticated design elements, including a grand fireplace-centred living room, a spacious dining area with a sleek wet bar, and a piano.ย

The gourmet kitchen is equipped with commercial-grade appliances, including a 60-inch Wolf range, Sub-Zero refrigeration, dual Thermador dishwashers, and a built-in Miele coffee maker.
The master bedroom features multiple glass French doors that open to a charming patio area, while the master bathroom includes a double vanity, soaking tub, and large glass shower.
The property also contains a private gym located in a separate dwelling unit that includes its own bedroom and kitchen.

Outside, Evans enhanced the grounds with complementary landscaping and extended the backyard to create what the listing describes as “an entertainer’s paradise.”
The outdoor space includes patio seating overlooking the mountains and California skyline, plus a large swimming pool.

Evans purchased the home two years after making his debut as Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
