New principal of Ray White Werribee Michelle Chick opened her own business seven weeks ago, and in that time her team has sold ten properties, listed another 15, launched a property management division and recruited two new members into her team.
Chick, who has been in real estate sales operations for the last 15 years decided to take the leap into business ownership in January and has not looked back since.
โAfter working for someone else for 15 years, itโs been a scary, overwhelming but fun experience opening my very own business. Iโm learning so much every day, and Iโm loving what Iโm doing, โ she said.
Now, entering her second month of operation, Chick couldnโt be happier with the progress the business has made. She said a real sign of success is the consistent flow of resumes coming through the door from local agents wanting to join her.
โIโve already put on two new people in the sales team who sought us out as a place they wanted to work. I get resumes coming in all the time and youn
g agents asking to spend a day with me to learn the ropes. I think itโs a testament to the impact our new office has had already in the marketplace,โ she said.
Now armed with a team of five sales people, one property manager and an office manager, Chickโs focus is to continue her passion of listing, selling as well as mentoring her young team.
โAround 75 percent of my business are referred to me, and I have worked hard to let my clients know about my move to Ray White. I had two people full time and one person part time calling everyone on my database over a three week period, Iโve invested in local marketing, including print advertising and DL drops, and Iโve run a social media campaign. I had a stylist come in and design the office to feel like home. Itโs relaxed, and the front foyer looks amazing.
โMy passion is to keep listing and selling for my clients, but I am also excited to mentor my new sales team to help them build their individual teams,โ she said.
