Actor Elan Zafir, currently starring alongside Jon Hamm in the Apple TV+ series Your Friends & Neighbors, has listed his beloved Gramercy Park apartment for US$800,000 (approximately A$1.2 million).
Located in the Beaux-Arts co-op “Mon Bijou” at 210 E. 17th Street, the sun-drenched 1,000-square-foot home features two bedrooms, a full-size kitchen, and views of the moss-covered St. George’s Church through oversized south and east facing windows.
French doors lead to a tranquil primary bedroom, and the building’s owner-occupier community provides the kind of security where “my kid can run downstairs to let her friend in,” Elan told the NY Post.
Elan and his wife Lindsay moved into the apartment during the height of the pandemic, when he says most New Yorkers were fleeing the city.
“It’s like an oasis when you get in there. It’s shockingly quiet,” he said.
But the couple is relocating to Morningside Heights for more space and proximity to schools and work.
Despite the move, the actor admits the departure is bittersweet: “Life became a lot easier actually… we’re not looking forward to leave, to be honest.”
