WA to host Home-Grown Heroes real estate conference

West Australian agents are set to enjoy a real estate conference specifically tailored for their needs, courtesy of the Home-Grown Heroes conference on August 14.

To be held at Crown Perth, Home-Grown Heroes is a conference that focuses on local West Australian real estate agents who are making their mark. The event was inspired by real estate coach and agent Ryan Thompson, who says it is aimed at those who have educated themselves and continue to grow in any market.

“We have some exceptional talent here in WA and we’re giving them the platform to share their knowledge.”

A successful agent for over 12 years, Mr Thompson is the founder of Real Estate Brilliance – a program designed to empower agents through personal and professional development. Based on Australia’s west coast, he educates agents across the country.

“I was fortunate enough to embrace training early in my career and I’ve never stopped educating myself. I still have a coach today which has helped put me in a very good position as a real estate professional,” Mr Thompson said.

“After achieving the goals I set myself, which was to become a successful real estate agent, auctioneer and principal – I decided it was time to fill the gap where legislative training wasn’t cutting it. How can you grow as an agent if the tools aren’t given to you or the tools that are given aren’t working?”

In previous years, Home-Grown Heroes has seen local legends like Damien Oliver and Basil Zempilas, as well as local real estate legends Vivian Yap, Daniel Gonzalez, Michael Keil, Josh Brockhurst, Lee Perry, and Glen Newland, take the stage as presenters.

This year’s Home-Grown Heroes conference brings James Tostevin – one of Australia’s best-known agents and ranked as one of the top three performers in Australia for the past five years running – to headline the show.

Other speakers include Clare Seamer, a partner in top performing agency Harcourts Mandurah; Rick Hockey, the top Unassisted Salesperson of the year for REIWA 2017/18; Matt Seabrook, owner and principal at Stuart Weston Real Estate and a million dollar agent; and Adrian Loh, the expert Buyer Manager heading a million dollar team.
