Tony Blamey joins :Different to drive growth

Australian property management company, :Different, has appointed Tony Blamey as the company’s first Chief Revenue Officer.

Mr Blamey joins the company after previously working at Domain where he was Chief Commercial Officer, and will lead :Different’s growth, building on its recent partnership with the Commonwealth Bank.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the team at :Different,” Mr Blamey said.

“Having spent much of my career around the property market, I’m inspired by their mission to take care of homes and the people who live in them.

“:Different combines intuitive technology with personal connections to deliver amazing experiences for tenants, owners and our partners. I’m looking forward to building on the success of the business to date and driving the next phase of growth.”

Mr Blamey brings extensive experience to :Different, having worked within the real estate industry for over a decade.

He has also helped grow the audience and revenue of a number of leading consumer and b2b brands, along with managing high performing and engaged teams.

The appointment follows :Different’s $25 million Series B raise announced in September led by Commonwealth Bank venture-scaling entity, x15ventures, and Antler.

A strategic partnership between CBA and :Different was also announced for both brands to collaborate on exclusive offers and benefits to reach homeowners across the country, which Mr Blamey will help lead.

“Bringing someone of Tony’s experience to :Different is a huge win for us and our customers,” said :Different co-founder, Ruwin Perera.

We’ve experienced 12 months of tremendous progress and now with our CBA partnership and incredible talent like Tony on board to lead this crucial part of our business, the next 12 months are shaping up to be our biggest yet.

“Tony will be instrumental in building out our agent proposition. We want to help agents grow the value of their rent roll asset, and leverage world-class technology-driven user experiences to help them delight their customers.”
