Sophie Desprez has joined Stone Southern Highlands, bringing her team with her in a move that adds significant depth to the recently established office.
Sophie brings more than 20 years’ experience in real estate, including over 12 years specialising in the Southern Highlands, after eight years as principal of a major franchise.
She has sold properties across Boxers Creek, Bundanoon, Canyonleigh, Berrima, Exeter, Moss Vale, Bowral, Mittagong, Colo Vale, Mount Murray and Robertson.
She grew up on a farm near Young before attending Loreto College Normanhurst and later working in corporate roles in Sydney, giving her what the release describes as a combination of country roots, metropolitan experience and local market knowledge.
Her network extends across the Southern Highlands, rural NSW, and Sydney’s North Shore, Lower North Shore and Eastern Suburbs.
Sophie is joined by her existing team, who bring established relationships and local knowledge of the Southern Highlands property market.
Stone Southern Highlands is led by George Kolovos and Alexander Kolovos, who have built the office’s presence across residential sales and rural property since it was established.
Sophie said the move was about strengthening the platform behind her existing business rather than changing how it operates.
“The people, the passion and the local knowledge remain exactly the same. What we’ve upgraded is the toolkit behind us,” Sophie said.
“Stone gives us the ability to combine our understanding of the Southern Highlands with technology, marketing and a network that extends well beyond the region.”
According to the release, Stone’s connected national database allows buyers across the network to be matched with properties throughout the Southern Highlands, giving vendors the opportunity to combine local expertise with broader buyer reach from Sydney, the Northern Beaches, the Illawarra and beyond.
Stone Real Estate founder and CEO Peter Mumford said the office’s growth reflected the strength of the region.
