Sherrie Storor has returned to agency ownership, launching Ray White Icon with offices in Bridgeman Downs and Chermside.
The move brings Sherrie back to Brisbane after time on the Gold Coast, and back into agency leadership after eight years building a career as one of Australia’s most sought-after real estate business coaches.
Before coaching, she built and sold her own agency, Address Estate Agents, growing it to 45 agents across an executive leadership team of five, before moving into leadership roles including Director of Residential at Colliers.
She pivoted into coaching in 2008, running events, podcasts, one-on-one coaching, online courses and digital toolkits for principals and teams across Australasia.
Among her results, she states she grew one client’s business from $3 million to $18 million in GCI.
Sherrie said the move was about putting that experience into practice under her own banner.
“I’ve spent the last eight years helping agents and agency owners build better businesses – better systems, better teams, better lives,” she said.
“Ray White gives me the platform, the technology and the network to do that at scale, and to build it myself again. I couldn’t be more excited to be back in Brisbane and back in agency ownership.”
She said the choice of network came down to infrastructure.
“I chose Ray White because of the technology, the scale, and the referral network, the things that, frankly, no other group in this country is investing in at the same level.
“I’ve watched agents leave other networks and try to build that infrastructure themselves, and I’ve watched them come back. I don’t want to spend the next chapter of my career reinventing what’s already been built better than I could build it alone.”
Ray White Queensland CEO Jason Andrew said Storor’s coaching background gave her rare insight into agency ownership.
“She’s coached some of our best people to get better, now she gets to do it under her own banner, and with the full weight of the Ray White network behind her,” Jason said.
“Talented agents want to work for people who will genuinely make them better. Sherrie has made a career of doing exactly that, so I expect Icon Group will become a destination for ambitious agents across Brisbane very quickly.”
Thomas McGlynn, Ray White CEO of Performance and Value, said he had known Sherrie for years.
“Sherrie and I go a long way back. She’s been a trusted friend and sounding board ever since,” Thomas said.
“Nobody understands what it takes to build a genuinely high-performing, well-run agency better than she does. Brisbane is about to see what happens when that knowledge gets put back into practice.”
Ray White Icon will operate from a 50sqm office in Bridgeman Downs and a 250sqm office in Chermside, with an early focus on recruiting agents who share Storor’s emphasis on systemisation, integrity and building sustainable careers.
The business builds on the operation established by Wayne and Sonya Treloar, who will support the transition and continue growing their personal sales business.
