Samuel Johnson has joined Melbourne Sotheby’s International Realty as a Luxury Sales Consultant, teaming up with long-time Macedon Ranges specialist Sean Parker as the brand opens a new office covering the region.

The Macedon Ranges office will service Macedon, Mount Macedon, Woodend, Gisborne, Kyneton and Daylesford, adding to Melbourne Sotheby’s International Realty’s existing presence on the Mornington Peninsula.

Samuel joins after more than 16 years with Australia’s two largest digital property platforms, spending the past seven years at Domain and eight years before that at REA Group, where he worked closely with many of Victoria’s leading agencies and agents.

Sean has built his reputation in the Macedon Ranges since relocating to Mount Macedon with his family in 2018, following a property career spanning Australia, Asia and the Middle East across development, sales, marketing and after-sales care.

He has sold extensively throughout Mount Macedon, Macedon, Gisborne and Daylesford.

Mitch Armstrong, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Projects at Melbourne Sotheby’s International Realty, said the region’s appeal was driving the expansion.

“The Macedon Ranges has become one of Victoria’s most desirable lifestyle destinations, attracting buyers seeking premium homes, acreage and weekend retreats within easy reach of Melbourne.”

Mitch said Sean’s reputation combined with Samuel’s background gave the office a strong foundation.

“Sean has built an exceptional reputation in the region through years of trusted local service, and bringing someone of Sam’s calibre into the business strengthens our local capability,” Mitch said.

“Mitch said Sam’s extensive property experience across REA and Domain gives him what he described as an unrivalled understanding of the property industry, and marketing insights, and together they create what he called an incredibly strong leadership team for this next phase of growth.”

Sean said the move let him combine his local track record with a global brand.

“We’ve built a strong reputation across the Macedon Ranges over many years, and Melbourne Sotheby’s International Realty allows us to pair that local knowledge with one of the world’s most recognised luxury real estate brands.”

Samuel said the partnership offered a compelling proposition for local clients.

“The Sotheby’s International Realty brand has an unmatched global reputation and reach,” Samuel said.

“Combining that with Sean’s established presence and trusted relationships throughout the Macedon Ranges creates a compelling proposition for local clients.

“I’m looking forward to delivering superior service for buyers and sellers across the region.”

The Macedon Ranges office is part of Melbourne Sotheby’s International Realty’s broader Victorian growth plans, following the brand’s Melbourne launch in late 2025 and the opening of a dedicated Bayside office in Brighton earlier this year.

The business operates under Sotheby’s International Realty’s global network, which spans more than 1,100 offices across 85 countries and territories.
