REINSW names their top performers at the 2024 Awards

The Real Estate Institute of New South Wales (REINSW) has celebrated its top performers at its 2024 Awards for Excellence gala event.

Held at the Star Entertainment Centre in Sydney, the ceremony recognised top performers across 24 categories, including nine agency and 15 individual awards.

The most prestigious accolade, the Woodrow Weight Award for outstanding contribution to real estate agency practice, was presented to Ewan Morton from Morton Real Estate in Sydney.

โ€œI was initially gobsmacked that Iโ€™d been selected,โ€ Mr Morton said.

โ€œBut since then, Iโ€™ve received a lot of feedback from people in the industry whoโ€™ve said they thought I deserved it so, Iโ€™m very appreciative and grateful.”

He said he puts much of his success down to simply showing up.

โ€œMy success has come from showing up, having a go, and having a generosity of spirit,โ€ he said.

โ€œI think our industry works best when we collaborate, even though thatโ€™s not always easy to achieve.

โ€œWhen we do collaborate, it not only improves the industry, but we also learn more.

โ€œMy contribution has come back to me tenfold through the help and lessons Iโ€™ve received from others.โ€

The award for top Residential Salesperson went to Ben Pike from Pulse Property Agents.

The top Residential Sales Teamโ€ฏwent to Adrian William Real Estate, while the top Real Estate Agency (Small) was won by Biller Property and the top Real Estate Agency (Large) was won by McGrath Estate Agents Parramatta.

Lloyd Edge from Aus Property Professionals, took home the Buyers’ Agent of the Year award.

REINSW CEO Tim McKibbin highlighted the high calibre of entrants, noting the industry’s resilience in the face of ongoing challenges.

“Each of you has raised the bar for excellence in real estate, and we are proud to celebrate your remarkable achievements this evening,” Mr McKibbin said.

Other notable winners included Joseph Assaf from Ray White Commercial Western Sydney, who won Commercial Salesperson of the Year.

Kellie Andriessen from Newcastle Property Management received the Tim Anderson OAM Residential Property Manager award.

The awards ceremony, now in its 27th year, continues to be the most respected industry event in New South Wales, showcasing excellence in real estate practice.
