REA Group welcomes Eleanor Creagh as new senior economist

REA Group has announced the appointment of Eleanor Creagh as a senior economist.

As a trusted financial commentator, Ms Creagh is set to bring a wealth of experience in local and international capital markets to the senior economist role.

Working alongside REA Group’s Director of Economic Research, Cameron Kusher, Ms Creagh will play a fundamental role in driving forward the group’s program of economic research and informing key audience groups with market analysis and commentary. 

Sitting within the REA Insights team, Ms Creagh will join specialist economists Anne Flaherty and Paul Ryan, along with a talented group of analysts.

The REA Insights team falls under the leadership of Melina Cruickshank, who is the Group’s chief audience and marketing officer. 

“We’re delighted to welcome Eleanor as we continue to drive our ambitious data strategy forward,” Ms Cruickshank said.

Ms Cruickshank said bolstering critical economic and data capabilities would form the foundation of REA’s growth going forward.

“Eleanor will play a key role within the REA Insights team, utilising proprietary data to deliver unparalleled market intelligence to help support our customers and consumers make the most informed property decisions,” she said.

Prior to joining REA Group, Ms Creagh was senior market strategist at Saxo Markets Asia Pacific, where her responsibilities included providing real-time economic updates, data analysis and insights into the movement and drivers of capital markets.  

Ms Creagh said she was “excited to join a dynamic team”.

“REA Group has one of the most comprehensive views of the Australian property market with millions of people around the country visiting each month,” she said.

“I’m looking forward to bringing a fresh analytical lens to the team and helping deliver value to our customers and consumers.”
