More than 1450 members from across Ray White Queensland gathered at the Royal International Convention Centre in Brisbane for the network’s 2025-26 annual awards.
Ray White Queensland CEO Jason Andrew described FY26 as a year of two distinct halves.
“We started the year with tremendous velocity, outperforming the market and setting records. But as the year progressed, the broader economic climate caught up with us, global instability, stubborn inflation, elevated interest rates and a federal budget that has hit the housing sector hard,” Jason said.
“Many networks would use conditions like that as an excuse to slow down. We choose to use them as our proving ground.”
Despite the headwinds, Jason said the network’s targets for the year ahead remained unchanged: selling one in every four homes across Queensland, reaching 60,000 properties under management, and conducting 10,000 auctions.
“Those ambitions are non-negotiable. They measure our market dominance from Cairns to Coolangatta,” he said.
“The strong will aggregate market share, the disciplined will prosper, and Ray White will demonstrate why it is that we are market leaders.”
Ray White Managing Director Dan White told the room the group’s market share had reached record levels, according to internal figures – 14.66 per cent across Australia and New Zealand, equivalent to one in seven properties sold, with auction market share sitting around 25 to 30 per cent. He said the gap to the next-largest group had never been wider, according to the network’s own figures.
Dan argued sales volume and profit could be misleading measures since they fluctuate with market mood, whereas market share was a truer reflection of a group’s own leadership and effort, particularly when it is gained in tough conditions.
The night’s biggest individual honour, the Max White Award, now in its 47th year, went to Ray White Collective Group Operations Manager Leesa Paull, who has spent three decades with the group.
“This is for the administrators, the receptionists, the EAs and the operations managers, the ones who get in early in the morning and are there late at night,” Leesa said.
“They dot our i’s and cross our t’s and they’re just amazing.”
Ray White New Farm was again named the state’s Number 1 office in the network’s own awards. The agency, led by Matt Lancashire and Haesley Cush, sits under the Ray White Collective banner alongside offices in Bulimba, Toowong, Clayfield and Kim Olsen Property. Ray White Collective was also named Top Business for Queensland and Number 1 International Multi-Partner Group.
Matt was named Number 1 Principal in Queensland and Number 2 International Principal. Rochelle Adgo of Ray White Mitchelton took out Number 1 Salesperson for the state and Number 1 International Salesperson.
Haesley and Matt, who have just passed 21 years of ownership at Ray White New Farm, credited their mentors within the group.
“To be number one is something we never take for granted and we’re incredibly humbled by,” Haesley said.
“The well-worn path to this stage is no secret. But when the market turns and you’re saying no to things you really want to do, that’s when the character calls. We’ll be showing real character in this market and we’ll see you back here next year.”
