Ray White and Loan Market WA Awards celebrate the state’s high achievers

Ray White and Loan Market Western Australia held the state awards in Perth on Friday to celebrate the achievements of the top offices and individuals throughout the network.

Ray White WA CEO Mark Whiteman and Loan Market State Director Ken MacLennan opened the evening with a clear message of an integrated future for the two arms of the White Family group.

“The 2016/17 year saw plenty of challenges in the market with sales volumes down yet again on last year, but surprisingly the groups managed to navigate the challenge with a united approach,” Mr Whiteman said.

“We’ve lost count of sales that were made purely because the Loan Market broker was able to get the money when other brokers or the banks could not.”

Ken MacLennan said leads had been harder to drive than ever this year.

“But the relationship with Ray White has been a big factor in our brokers maintaining their production levels while others have fallen away,” he said.

Both leaders emphasised that “we are far stronger together than apart and we will continue to drive the integration into 2017-18.”

The awards saw Ray White Whiteman & Associates Mirrabooka take away the top prize; named number one office based on the highest settled commission both in the metropolitan and overall categories, while Ray White Geraldton was named top regional office.

The top sales operator overall went to Clare Cowen of Ray White Broome. Coral Howe of Ray White Karratha won the top sales awards for the number of sales made.

Elsie Corby of Ray White Corby & Co took out the award for top selling principal in the state for an astonishing fourth year in a row.

Ray White Commercial WA’s Tom Jones was named the network’s Top Rookie winning the John Seddon Top Rookie Award.

Western Australia’s top gong, The Ross Whiteman Award, recognises the recipient as someone who has made a significant contribution to the White Family’s networks in WA. This year the award was presented to 20 year stalwart Ted Schultz of Ray White Carnarvon. Ted joined the WA business in 1997.

The Top Auction Listing Award for the top office went to Ray White Urban Springs Belmont, while Andrew Huggins from the same office took out the top individual award.

Working alongside Loan Market brokers and a network of Ray White offices across the state, the awards recognised the top referrers throughout the network. The office with the highest amount of referrals was Ray White Whiteman & Associates Mirrabooka, and in his second award of the night, Andrew Huggins of Ray White Urban Springs Belmont was named as the top individual referrer.

The Damien Mills Community Service Award went to Hazel McGinty of Ray White McGinty & Associates, for her outstanding contribution to the local community.

A number of awards were handed out for property management achievements including top office for revenue taken by Ray White Karratha, the team of the year award, which went to Ray White North Quays Sorrento, and the team leader of the year awarded to Michelle Reck of Ray White Karratha. Property Manager of the Year was Kristy Sellick of Ray White Cannington.

Other awards on the night included best administrator, best personal assistant,  best-presented office as well as many more.
