Ray White Commercial NSW – Western Sydney has welcomed experienced agent Victor Sheu to the team. Assuming the role of Associate Director, Mr Sheu will have a focus on Asian markets, investment sales, and development transactions.
“I began my post-university professional life working for a project marketing company, where I specialised in Chinese companies buying assets off-the-plan. This gave me a terrific insight into how the Asian market worked,” Mr Sheu said.
“But for me, I found my niche in dealing with the upper-end of property; the more complex deals that were set apart from off-the-plan deals.
“New Ray White Commercial NSW – Western Sydney Managing Director Peter Vines approached me to join a real estate company back in 2015, and we’re reunited again.”
Mr Sheu is one of just a handful of commercial agents in Western Sydney who can speak and negotiate in fluent Mandarin.
“I was born and raised in Taiwan before I moved to Parramatta when I was seven years old, so I really do know the local area like the back of my hand,” he said.
“I have very strong negotiation skills in Mandarin and with the investment that’s being pumped into the western suburbs right now, there are a lot of Asian investors keeping an eye on the precinct. I believe my language skills give me a big upper hand.
“Parramatta has been the underdog for a long time and probably doesn’t get the respect it deserves. But that’s all changing with the Parramatta Square development and completed projects like Bankwest Stadium.
“I believe Asian investors now see the western suburbs as a serious place to inject finances and I look forward to using my expertise to service that.”
Mr Sheu said he had great aspirations for the Ray White Commercial NSW – Western Sydney team and was delighted to join Australasia’s biggest real estate group.
“Ray White is a brand that is well-known across the Southern Hemisphere and joining a team that is established and can grow was a real drawcard,” he said.
“Together with Peter, we’ve sold a range of specialised assets – from the Australian Reptile Park and Ryde RTA building to the Drummoyne water tower, so I’m excited to see what Peter and I can continue to deliver.”
Ray White Commercial NSW – Western Sydney Managing Director Peter Vines said Mr Sheu would add value to the team in a number of different ways.
