This House for Life marks the 9th home Plantation Homes has built and auctioned a home with proceeds going to Mater Little Miracles, with more than $5 million raised from the sales of the past eight House for Life charity homes which have been built from 2008.

The project is the culmination of a collective effort from dedicated volunteers and suppliers who donate their time and resources to build the home, which will be auctioned in the second half of 2022.

Alex Raleigh, General Manager, Plantation Homes says, “We are thrilled that Coronis Real Estate and Justin Nickerson have jumped on board in helping drive interest for House for Life.”

“We are proud to be joining like-minded forces, such as Coronis Real Estate and Justin Nickerson, who are both passionate about Mater Little Miracles”.

“I am confident that Coronis will build fantastic momentum and interest in the lead up, and on the auction day as it such a great community event.  Then it is over to the very talented Justin, who will weave his auctioneering magic to undoubtedly get a fantastic result for Mater.” Mr Raleigh added.

Andrew Coronis, CEO, Coronis Real Estate says, “We have had a long and rewarding relationship with Mater Foundation which I believe has been beneficial for our clients and our whole team at Coronis. Giving is part of our DNA and we strongly endorse the work Mater Foundation does to provide world class medical care to our community.”

“We jumped at the opportunity with “House for Life ” as we can give our services to a wonderful cause… and it will be a lot of fun and good for our soul – both things we value.”

Mater Foundation Executive Director Andrew Thomas said each year more than 2000 seriously ill and premature babies are cared for at Mater Mothers’ Hospitals’ Neonatal Critical Care Unit at South Brisbane.

“The proceeds of this house will make a real difference to our resources and research so that we can continue supporting families and their babies who require specialised care at Mater,” Mr Thomas said.

Justin Nickerson says, “I’m incredibly excited about the opportunity to be the auctioneer for House for Life. Other than being a fantastic cause, it’s also inspiring to see the amount of people who have donated their expertise to make it all happen, and I’m thrilled to play a small part in that.”

“I love that as an auctioneer, it has given me the opportunity to play a role in momentous occasions in people’s lives. The thrill of seeing people secure their dream home has never changed right from the first auction”.

“We are hoping that auction day brings bright sunshine, a big crowd and an amazing sold result for the House for Life!”
