Matthew Perry’s Hollywood Hills villa back on the market

In October 2023, the world lost the talented Matthew Perry at the age of 54.

Prior to his passing, the actor expanded his real estate holdings with the acquisition of a mid-century modern villa in Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles.

Purchased in an off-market deal for just under $7.26 million, the property was initially listed at about $8.7 million.

The residence is now back on the market, priced at $7.54 million, according to the Robb Report.

Constructed in 1957 and recently refurbished, this stylish home occupies nearly a quarter-acre of land just above the Sunset Strip.

It features a relatively short but broad driveway leading to an attached two-car garage.

An asymmetrical staircase leads to an atrium-style entryway, enhancing the villa’s privacy.

Spanning around 232sq m of living space on a single level, the house includes three bedrooms and four bathrooms.

The interior has a combination of stone and light hardwood flooring, and Fleetwood sliding glass doors open onto a covered lounge area with views of a swimming pool and fire pit.

The home’s layout includes a formal dining area converted into a billiards room, which connects to an office nook and a living area through a two-way fireplace.

The sleek kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances, a stylish backsplash, and a breakfast bar under three hanging pendant lights.

All bedrooms feature ensuites, with the master suite offering a walk-in closet and a luxurious bathroom with dual vanities, a large soaking tub, and a glass-enclosed shower.

Another bedroom has been transformed into an elegant screening room, complete with a projector and surround sound system.

Aside from his Hollywood Hills property, Perry also owned a contemporary cottage in Pacific Palisades, which he bought for $8.7 million in 2020.

It was in this home that he tragically passed away due to the acute effects of ketamine, as confirmed by an autopsy by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.

Perry had previously shared his struggles with addiction in his 2022 memoir, Friends, Lovers, and The Big Terrible Thing.
