LJ Hooker opens a new office in one of Brisbane’s most established suburbs

Ash Chawla will head up the new agency and said he had a special connection to LJ Hooker.

The Announcement:

LJ Hooker has further expanded its network in Brisbane opening a new office in the popular riverside suburb of St Lucia.

Ash Chawla heads up the new agency as Managing Director and Principal and will offer a full suite of real estate services across residential properties including sales and property management.

Mr Chawla is returning to the LJ Hooker family where he initially started his career more than six years ago. After completing his training, he moved on to another major brand where he worked as a lead sales agent and developed a strong team of agents.

Also joining the new office is Vipin Bishnoi, as Director of Sales, and Eddie Singh, as Director of Marketing. Both Mr Singh and Mr Bishnoi, who are partners in the new business, have previously worked with Mr Chawla and make a formidable team.

“The time felt right for me to start my own business  – I looked at all the other options, but I had a special connection to LJ Hooker because it is where my career started,” said Mr Chawla.

“The training is the best in the industry, and the systems are great and that is why I wanted our team to be part of the network. It is also a very trusted brand.

“Everyone knows LJ Hooker and its reputation for outstanding customer service which also resonated with me.”

LJ Hooker General Manager, Stephen Mutton welcomed the opening of a new St Lucia office in what is set to become a key market for the LJ Hooker brand.

“The north-western suburbs of Brisbane are a very stable and sought area and the new St Lucia office is one of many to come throughout that corridor as we look to expand,” he said.

“It is wonderful to have Ash back in the LJ Hooker family. It certainly is the mark of a real estate network when talented teams choose to open their own office with us, while also entrusting us to support and guide them on their business growth journey.”

St Lucia is popular with young professionals, families and retirees. Its high rental demand due to its proximity to the University of Queensland also makes it popular for investors.

The new architect-designed sustainable LJ Hooker office has a prominent position within the suburb’s only retail strip.

It will cater for the growth of the business, with Mr Chawla already looking to recruit additional sales and property management staff.

The team are excited about build associations with the Ironside State School and other local businesses such as the St Lucia golf course.
