Leonardo DiCaprio lists home bought from Moby for US$5.495M

Academy award winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio has listed the home he bought from music superstar, Moby, who extensively renovated the 95-year-old property.

DiCaprio is asking US$5.495 million for the home, dubbed Red Oak Manor, which he bought for a family member three years ago – his home is a $13.8 million Malibu mansion which is part of an extensive property portfolio accumulated by the star. 

Moby made some dramatic changes to the home, located in Los Feliz Oaks, including custom millwork, groin-vault ceilings and three elaborate fireplaces. 

According to the listing, the home is “a1926 Tudor/Traditional with grand public rooms, high ceilings, original architectural details and character while incorporating modern influences for today’s living.”

The home includes large-scale rooms, three fireplaces, a gourmet eat-in kitchen with a walk-in pantry, formal dining room, unique media/family room with tower ceiling, opening to a large outdoor living room entertainment area next to pool and spa.

“Upstairs features two dramatic master suites with marble baths and vast closet space,” the listing says. 

“The lower level offers optional gym/office/storage space, and a guest suite with a secret entrance to a full bath/steam room.

The home also includes a gated driveway, privacy hedges and a “forest-like setting with large specimen trees creating a magical, tranquil environment”.
