Laing+Simmons Parramatta turns 21

Next month marks the 21st birthday for Laing+Simmons Parramatta and the team is celebrating its coming of age by partnering with one of western Sydneyโ€™s most beloved and important charities.

From July 1 to the end of 2016, Laing+Simmons Parramatta will donate $300 to Westmead Medical Research Foundation (WMRF) for every property the team sells.

The Laing+Simmons Granville and Auburn offices are also joining the campaign.

The final figure to be donated could be in the vicinity of $40,000, explained Group Principal Ray Fayad, who couldnโ€™t think of a better cause.

โ€œWeโ€™ve been lucky to have called Parramatta home for the last 21 years and you canโ€™t help but feel a strong connection to the area,โ€ he said.

โ€œThe role that the inspiring team at Westmead play in so many different peopleโ€™s lives is something everyone who lives in the local area should acknowledge and appreciate.

โ€œThis is our way of showing our appreciation for the tremendous work they do. While weโ€™re turning 21, we want to share the celebration much more broadly.

โ€œThe people of western Sydney have been very good to us and weโ€™re proud to give something back.โ€

Westmead Medical Research Foundation COO Belinda Szafraniec said the support of local companies like Laing+Simmons Parramatta was vital to the care of those in need.

โ€œWe are so grateful for businesses like Laing+Simmons Parramatta who give so generously to our organisation,โ€ she said.

โ€œThis money will go towards critical care and life-saving research at Westmead and will help the thousands of patients who attend Westmead Hospital every day.โ€

Over the past 21 years, Mr Fayad and co-principal Caddie Dabaja have grown the team at Laing+Simmons Parramatta to 50 people and together they enjoy a strong market share in the burgeoning western Sydney property market.

Mr Fayad is also the principal of the Laing+Simmons Granville and Auburn offices and is one of the best known agents in Sydneyโ€™s geographic centre.

โ€œOver the past two decades, weโ€™ve seen many different agencies come and go as the property market cycle ebbs and flows. Weโ€™re proud to have been a fixture in the local area for so long and we look forward to calling ourselves locals for many more years to come,โ€ Mr Fayad said.
