Prospect local Julia Sallows has been unveiled as the winner of this yearโs Laing+Simmons Scholarship Program, the annual initiative designed to unearth talented agents of the future and kickstart their career in real estate.
Juliaโs win sees her join leading local real estate office Laing+Simmons Blacktown, where sheโll work alongside experienced sales specialist Mark Stone.
Julia completed a weekโs work experience with the Laing+Simmons Quakers Hill office as part of the scholarship program and made an instant impression.
Her drive and enthusiasm were obvious and sheโs now completed her Certificate of Registration, care of Laing+Simmons, with Markโs guidance ensuring sheโll hit the ground running in her new Sales Assistant role.
Julia was introduced to the Laing+Simmons Scholarship Program by her school careers advisor.
โReal estate is an industry Iโd been interested in for many years so when I found out about the scholarship program it made sense to apply. The experience with the Quakers Hill team was very valuable and it was exciting to see first-hand how a busy real estate office operates,โ Julia said.

For the past two decades, the Laing+Simmons Scholarship Program has identified and supported young people interested in real estate, improving levels of professionalism in the industry.
โScholarship participants complete a work experience period with one of our offices and are mentored by an experienced real estate operator, ensuring the right techniques, skills and standards of practice are learned at the outset of their careers,โ Laing+Simmons Managing Director Leanne Pilkington said.
Ms Pilkington said the scholarship program is an effective training initiative and a unique opportunity for students interested in a real estate career.
