John Francis Daley and Corinne Kingsbury selling their luxury LA villa

Actor, writer and producer John Francis Daley and his writer wife Corinne Kingsbury are selling their luxury villa above LA’s Encino community for nearly US$6 million.

Daley is best known for his role in the 1990s TV show Freaks and Geeks, as well as being a regular on Bones, while Kingsbury wrote for TV series The Newsroom and created the currently airing TV series In the Dark.

According to The Dirt, the asking price is a 50 per cent profit on the just over US$3.9 million the couple paid for the property, not including improvement expenses and real estate fees.

Invisible from the street, at the end of a long, gated driveway shared with just one other home, the inventively designed abode sits in the hillside and is angled in such a way as to take best advantage of its high position, with clear views across the San Fernando Valley towards the Santa Susana Mountains.

The home boasts three and potentially four bedrooms and five-and-a-half bathrooms in close to 510sq m of living space.

There are polished stone floor tiles in the vast, open-plan living and entertaining spaces that also includes skylights, a free-standing wood-burning stove, and a bespoke wet bar.

Inside, the sleek kitchen offers natural dark-grey stone counters with white minimalist cabinetry, glass splashbacks and premium quality appliances.

A custom-made, cushioned, built-in dining banquette adds functionality and comfort.

There are two ensuite guest bedrooms, while a potential third guest room has been converted into a home theatre that sports black walls, maroon carpeting, and plush red and black seating.

The primary suite spills out across the entire second floor and offers spectacular sunset and mountain views, an enormous walk-in closet with a skylight and a bathroom with radiant heated floor.

Other highlights of the home include a rooftop terrace, a gym with attached bath, a dedicated pool bath, and a complete outdoor kitchen alongside the trapezoidal zero-edge swimming pool and spa.

The home offers solar panels for energy efficiency, advanced security controls, a comprehensive home automation system and a finished garage with EV charging capability.
