Peter Blade has been appointed Head of Parramatta Office for JLL Australia.
Mr Blade, who has more than 25 years’ experience in commercial real estate, is currently Head of Industrial in Western Sydney – a position he has held since rejoining JLL in February 2018.
JLL’s Managing Director – NSW, Daniel Kernaghan, said Mr Blade’s new appointment came as the business was bolstering its presence in Western Sydney in response to increasing demand for real estate services in the area.
“As a thriving development region with a rapidly increasing population, Western Sydney is an important component of JLL’s growth strategy nationally,” Mr Kernaghan said.
“Peter’s specialist knowledge and commitment to understanding his clients’ needs have grown JLL’s industrial market share significantly in 2018. We’re excited that his energy, drive and passion for his local area will now extend to the wider business.”
Mr Blade will lead a team of 50 specialist agents based in Parramatta. He will move into his new role on August 20, 2018.
The population of the Western Sydney local government area is on track to increase to 3 million – a jump of 24 per cent in 10 years – by 2026, according to the NSW Department of Planning.
In 2016, Western Sydney’s population of approximately 2.4 million was larger than the combined populations of South Australia and Tasmania (approximately 2.2 million), based on Deloitte Access Economics figures.
