Former NBA star Hassan Whiteside’s waterfront mansion in Miami Beach is under contract again, with the luxury property asking US$14.8 million (approximately A$22.6 million).
The latest deal marks the fourth time the residence has reportedly gone under contract since May, highlighting the challenges of securing a buyer for the high-end waterfront estate.
According to Miami Business Magazine, the pending sale was the second-priciest residential property contract recorded in Miami-Dade County during the week of October 5–11, 2026, among homes tracked with asking prices of US$4 million and above.

Located at 528 Lakeview Court in Miami Beach’s Lakeview neighbourhood, the gated waterfront property occupies a 17,676-square-foot (approximately 1,642-square-metre) block, with around 90 feet (27 metres) of waterfront frontage.
The tri-level residence was built in 2014 and features a chef’s kitchen with Wolf and Miele appliances, a built-in aquarium, expansive living areas, a private cinema, gym and rooftop lounge.
Outdoor amenities include a resort-style pool, summer kitchen, a 45-foot (14-metre) dock and three Jet Ski slips.
Whiteside purchased the property in 2016 for US$7.3 million (approximately A$11.1 million). It was initially listed for US$19.5 million (approximately A$29.8 million) in January 2025, before being offered at US$15.8 million (approximately A$24 million) later that year and subsequently reduced to its current asking price.
The current asking price represents a reduction of approximately 24 per cent from the original 2025 listing price.
Whiteside spent five seasons with the Miami Heat between 2014 and 2019 before finishing his NBA career with the Utah Jazz in 2022. He subsequently returned to professional basketball for the 2025–26 season with the Shanghai Sharks of the Chinese Basketball Association.
