Harcourts Tasmania has opened a 60-day window for local charities and community organisations to apply for a share of more than $100,000 in funding raised by the Harcourts Foundation.
The countdown is underway, with applications closing on 3 November 2026.
The money has already been raised, through charity auctions, events and fundraising activities tied to property sales carried out by Harcourts Tasmania franchise offices and agents. The task now is getting it back into the community.
Harcourts Foundation Tasmania Ambassador Belinda Dowde said the funding represented a significant opportunity for organisations doing important work across the state.
“We have an incredible network of people who get behind the Harcourts Foundation and find ways to raise money for their communities,” Belinda said.
“What makes this particularly exciting is that the money has already been raised. We’re now looking for charities and community organisations across Tasmania that can put it to work where it is needed most.”
Organisations must hold both Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) and Tax Concession Charity (TCC) status to be eligible for a Harcourts Foundation grant.
Pauline Smith, Head of The Harcourts Foundation, said the funding reflected the generosity of Harcourts Tasmania’s franchise offices, agents and their communities.
“This is a wonderful example of what can happen when a whole network gets behind a cause,” Pauline said.
“The money has been raised by Harcourts people through countless fundraising activities, and now we have the opportunity to put it into the hands of organisations that are making a difference across Tasmania.”
Over the 60-day period, Harcourts Tasmania will run updates highlighting the grants and encouraging eligible organisations to apply, with further coverage expected once recipients are announced.
Successful organisations will be celebrated through local grant presentations, including cheque presentations.
With applications closing 3 November, some successful grants could provide timely support for organisations running programs over the Christmas period.
“We’re really proud of what our Tasmanian network has already achieved in raising this money,” Belinda said.
“Now we want to see it out there in the community, doing some good.”
Eligible Tasmanian charities and community organisations can apply through the current Harcourts Foundation grant round, which closes at 11.59pm on 3 November 2026.
