Harcourts Property Centre opens New Farm office

Harcourts Property Centre has opened a new office in New Farm, creating a single base for the group’s residential, commercial, prestige and projects businesses as it extends its reach across Brisbane’s inner city.

Sam Devlin and Aaron Brooks will lead the New Farm office, bringing residential expertise into what the group describes as a closely held market.

Andrew Freibe, CEO of Harcourts Queensland, said the opening was a significant addition to the network.

“New Farm is one of Brisbane’s most special property markets. It has a character and appeal all of its own, and it’s an area where local expertise and relationships really count,” Andrew said.

“Sam and Aaron understand what makes this market unique. They have the experience and local knowledge to build relationships with homeowners and buyers, and to deliver the level of service this community expects.”

Harcourts Property Centre started in 2016 with six employees and no properties under management. It has since grown to more than 200 team members across 12 branches, and now transacts more than $1.5 billion worth of South East Queensland property, according to the group.

The New Farm office also becomes a hub for the group’s Commercial team, which has been expanding its focus across South East Queensland, particularly Brisbane’s inner-city suburbs.

The move has supported the launch of Harcourts Property Centre Projects, a joint venture with Gary Thompson, a projects executive with more than 35 years of experience. The new business will focus on Brisbane’s new-projects market as the city draws attention in the lead-up to the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Sam Devlin, Managing Director and Principal of Harcourts Property Centre New Farm, said the location made sense for the wider business as well as the local market.

“New Farm is a market you need to understand. It’s a closely held area, with strong community connections and homeowners who value the character and lifestyle that make it so sought-after,” Sam said.

“We’re growing our commercial capability across the inner city and expanding into projects, so this office puts our people closer to the markets and clients we’re working with.”

The office is also home to Jake Hathway, whose focus on Brisbane’s prestige residential market has made New Farm a natural base for his work with clients in the premium sector.

For Aaron Brooks, the move is about building long-term relationships in a market where trust matters.

“In a market like New Farm, you can’t take a one-size-fits-all approach. Every property and every client has their own story, and understanding the area is an important part of providing the right advice,” Aaron said.

“We want to build lasting relationships in the area and become a trusted resource for people making important property decisions.”
