Music superstar Aubrey ‘Drake’ Graham has expanded his impressive real estate portfolio with the acquisition of a luxury resort property in Brenham, Texas.
This latest purchase adds to his collection, which includes a sprawling 4645sq m mansion in Torontoโs Bridle Path neighbourhood and a multimillion-dollar estate in Beverly Hills, currently on the market for $88 million.
Drake spent $15 million in late October to acquire The Inn at Dos Brisas, a 313-acre estate between Austin and Houston, according to the Robb Report.
The property features a Mediterranean-style main house, several haciendas and casitas, an equestrian centre with an indoor arena, an organic farm, a greenhouse, a sports court, and a restaurant with a 7000-bottle wine cellar.
Originally bought by Houston tech mogul Doug Bosch and his wife Jennifer in 2000 as a family retreat, the estate was transformed into a resort in 2004.
The Relais & Chรขteaux-branded property closed in 2022 due to COVID-related losses but was previously recognised as one of the top 10 hotels in Texas by CultureMap Houston and boasted the stateโs only Forbes Travel Guide five-star restaurant.
The main house includes a bar-equipped lounge, a fireside dining room, and a large swimming pool and spa with an expansive sundeck.
The five haciendas and four casitas, ranging from 74sq m to 166sq m, feature stone fireplaces, kitchenettes, luxe baths, screened porches, and private plunge pools.
The grounds, adorned with pecan trees, wildflowers, a rose garden, three fishing ponds, and Peach Creek, can be explored using golf carts.
It’s unclear if Drake intends to revive the resort as a business or use it as a private estate.
Listing agent Tonya Currie of the Lifestyle Ranch & Home Group of Compass told Mansion Global last May that the property “has proven that it can and has been the best in its class as a restaurant and inn.”
She added that it holds potential for various uses, including equestrian venues, festival destinations, medical retreats, country clubs, or as a luxurious personal getaway.
