After a year of growth and finishing 2021 with more than $1.43 billion in sales, UrbanX has come a long way in a short amount of time.
After only celebrating its second birthday in September last year, UrbanX has been able to disrupt the traditional real estate model and provide a platform for high-performing agents to launch their own business and work for themselves.
As technology becomes more widely adopted in the industry and innovation continues to streamline outdated processes, we are seeing a revolution across the industry, with PropTech businesses leading the way.
Following on from an enormous year of growth, UrbanX has showed no signs of slowing down with co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, Dan Argent making his intentions clear for 2022, setting a goal of $3 billion worth of sales for his network of agent partners.
“We set out at the beginning of 2021 to achieve $1 billion in sales and our growing network of partners were able to finish the year on $1.43 billion,” Mr Argent said.
“This highlights the growth of the platform and the success of our agent partners, and as we continue to scale the business, we are confident that our partners will be able to sell more than $3 billion worth of property this year.”
Mr Argent said 2022 would be another big year for the real estate industry in Australia, with advancements in technology and continued adoption across the industry.
Only time will tell what the future holds, but Mr Argent has his own prediction for the year ahead.
“This year, we will continue to see more of Australia’s leading agents break away from the traditional model,” he said.
“In the past year, we have seen the success of the early adopters, and they are leading the way for the next wave of agents to launch their own business and take their career to the next level.
“It’s an exciting time for the industry and it’s great to be a part of the disruption.”
