Courtney and Stephen Antico join Richardson & Wrench Bondi Junction

Andre Frack, principal of R&W Bondi Junction, is delighted to welcome dynamic husband and wife team, Courtney and Stephen Antico, to the established business.

Real estate brought Courtney and Stephen together and it continues to be central to their peronsal and professional lives.

Ms Antico has been in the industry since the age of 19, starting in property management at McGrath when it was just one office in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.

Fast forward a decade and Mr Antico, deciding he needed a change from the family’s fruit and vegetable wholesaling business at Sydney’s Flemington Market, saw an advertisement for a sales assistant at Di Jones Real Estate where Ms Antico was working as a sales agent.

“Somehow I got the job, despite knowing nothing about the industry or having any previous real estate experience,” said Mr Antico.

“I think it was because I was a little older than most of the applicants and had some world experience. The team that hired me were the number one in the office, and one of the leading teams in the inner city of Sydney. They were tough to work for, but I knew if I just kept my mouth shut and listened, I would learn the ropes from the some of the best in the industry.”

As luck would have it, Ms Antico was part of her own successful team at Di Jones, with a desk right next to his.

“Courtney was away for the first few weeks of my employment and I must have clicked on her web profile 1000 times. I couldn’t believe how lucky I was; great new job and sitting next to this stunning woman. When she finally arrived back from holidays, I got to work trying to impress her!”

“Steve and I kept our relationship secret from the office for about 10 months, as we didn’t want it to be seen as interfering with our work. By the time everybody caught on we had moved in together then a week later had bought a home together, and here we are six years later, married, business partners and with two beautiful daughters,” said Ms Antico.

The duo joined forces as a husband and wife sales team in 2015 and are now part of the team at Richardson & Wrench Bondi Junction, which was the number one office in the network in 2017, with Andre Frack also named number one selling Principal.

“We were attracted to R&W by the brand; its fresh modern look and appeal to a highly discerning eastern suburbs audience,” said Ms Antico.

“I’d also worked with Andre many years ago so I knew we would be working with a group of people who were at the top of their game and easy to get along with.”

The pair have sold across the entire eastern suburb and last month secured the sale of a grand old terrace on Queen St Woollahra for above $6,000,000.

Their client base is diverse, with Mr Antico having grown up in the area while Ms Antico spent most of her childhood in the idyllic coastal town of Crescent Head, moving to Sydney to attend boarding school in Potts Point. This strong network of family and friends gives them a distinct advantage in the highly competitive market in which they operate.

“Every agent is different and it’s important to know your numbers and where the majority of your listings come from, that’s why we focus on building our network, looking after our key referrers and great follow up from our open homes” said Ms Antico.
