Carita Lanham, described by Coastal Property Agents as one of the Gold Coast’s leading waterfront agents, with 23 years in real estate and more than 800 homes sold, has joined Coastal Property Agents’ Broadwater team.
Carita said the move came down to independence and the freedom to look after her clients properly.
“After 23 years I know what my vendors need, and Coastal gives me a brand that backs the way I work and the flexibility to deliver for every client.”
Carita is one of several experienced agents to join Coastal in recent weeks, with Omkaar Nathwani and Tim Grevell also coming on board this month.
Coastal Founder and Managing Director Dane Atherton said the business had seen strong interest from established agents over recent months.
“The market has asked a lot of agents this year, and the good ones are thinking hard about where they want to be. We’re seeing leading agents look for stability, a brand that backs them, and a team that genuinely works together. We’re proud they’re choosing Coastal.”
The new arrivals coincide with Coastal’s annual C Awards this week, recognising 85 team members with more than 500 combined years at Coastal.
Twenty-three have been with the business for 10 years or more, and five for 15 years, since the agency opened its doors in 2011.
“New talent is exciting, but it’s our existing team that makes Coastal somewhere people want to be,” Dane said.
“Having five people with us for 15 years says more about our culture than anything we could put in an ad.”
Coastal Property Agents operates five offices across the Gold Coast with more than 140 agents and over $3.5 billion in annual sales, and holds back-to-back REIQ Sales Agency of the Year titles.
