Brisbane property giants keep expanding

Powerhouse Brisbane inner city property specialists Haesley Cush, Matt Lancashire, Scott Darwon and Brandon Wortley are not content to rest on their laurels.

Hot on the back of the news that the foursome recently began trading as Ray White Bulimba, the directors have since bought the Ray White East Brisbane sales business off industry icon David Price.

Mr Price is stepping back from sales by Christmas to focus on new ventures while continuing to own the property management side of the business with his father Garry Price.

“All four of us are so excited to come together in East Brisbane now too. Thanks to David Price who built a great business with some great members but now it’s our turn to hold the mantle. We’re seeing this as such a great opportunity to continue to grow together,” Mr Cush said.

“For me personally, I am so proud of the growth and development of top agents Scott Darwon and Brandon Wortley who have moved into ownership roles with style and ease and I am excited by their ambition and ability to lead the teams.”

The 130-strong combined inner city prestige group of Ray White New Farm, Spring Hill, Bulimba and East Brisbane will next month host their biggest ever Auction Under The Stars event on November 19 at the Howard Smith Wharves.

The event will include 35 properties on the order of sale, from entry level units to multi-million dollar properties.

“This will be the biggest auction event we have ever run, and it’s a powerful statement for our vendors and buyers. I am so excited, I can honestly say that my work life is more enjoyable today than it has ever been,” Mr Cush said.

“The acquisition of East Brisbane and Bulimba and the development of these two men into business owners is one of the highlights of my real estate career. It’s been a huge moment for all of us and it makes me very proud.

“I have worked with many of the East Brisbane agents over many years as I have called a lot of their auctions, so there’s already a strong level of care and respect.

“It’s like a breath of fresh air with two new locations plus four new principals and in our first month of trade we’ll be part of the 35-strong Auction Under The Stars event.”

The bi-annual Auction Under The Stars event is in its fifth year. It’s always been at the end of the financial year and then again half way through spring so settlements can take place before Christmas.

Ray White Queensland CEO Tony Warland said he was thrilled for the four energetic young business owners in Bulimba and now East Brisbane.

“The future looks so bright now as we know these business owners will work hard for their vendors and represent our brand in a consistent high standard.

“We remain strong in our endless pursuit of customer satisfaction and I know these directors will serve their communities well.”
