The move reflects a period of considerable expansion for the agency.

Over the past 12 months, BREC’s property management portfolio has grown from approximately 150 to almost 250 properties under management.

The business has also expanded its team to five staff and continues to recruit, with the previous premises no longer sufficient to support its operations.

The new office has been designed to accommodate BREC’s next stage of growth, providing improved facilities for both clients and staff and creating additional capacity for future hires.

Adam Saitta, Director and Founder of Benchmark Real Estate Cairns, said: “This move is about much more than a new address.”

“It’s an investment in the future of our business and, most importantly, in the experience we provide our clients.

“It gives us the space and platform to continue growing while maintaining the personal service, communication and attention to detail that our clients have come to expect from us.

“We’re excited about what this means for our team, our community and the people who trust us with their property journey.”

Mr Saitta, who relocated from Melbourne to Cairns in 2018 before founding the agency, said the relocation also signals the business’s long-term commitment to the region.

“We’re still a relatively young business, but we’re building something with the long term in mind. Our goal isn’t to be the biggest agency in town – it’s to be the most trusted.

“If we continue looking after our clients and our team, the growth will take care of itself. This new office is another step forward on that journey.”

The relocation follows a series of strategic moves by the agency, including the acquisition of additional property management portfolios and continued investment in systems and technology.

BREC operates in partnership with Plum Partners, giving clients access to industry-leading resources while retaining the personalised service of a locally owned independent.

Community involvement remains central to the agency’s identity.

BREC currently sponsors the Marlin Coast Swimming Club, supports the Community Justice Action Group, and participates in local fundraising and community initiatives across the Cairns region.

Looking ahead, BREC plans to establish multiple offices across the Cairns region, with a focus on maintaining personalised service and local expertise as the business scales.

The new Benchmark Real Estate Cairns headquarters at Unit 1B/321 Sheridan Street, Cairns North QLD 4870, is expected to be fully operational by the end of June.
