Belle Property expands Victorian footprint with three new offices

Belle Property has launched three new offices in Victoria.

Belle Property Daylesford, helmed by Principals Will Walton and Peter Douglas, has launched into Trentham, extending the brand’s reach across the Hepburn Shire region.

Meanwhile industry veteran Peter Julian has opened two offices servicing the Surf Coast region with Belle Property Geelong and Belle Property Torquay.

Dovetailing with lockdown restrictions easing in Victoria, CEO of Belle Property, Peter Hanscomb said that lifestyle-first, regional areas are a major focus for the brand’s growth strategy.

“In spite of a challenging year, Victoria is a booming market and there is plenty of opportunity,” Mr Hanscomb said.

“We are thrilled to welcome Peter Julian to our network and support Peter Douglas and Will Walton’s growth in the Hepburn Shire region as they are exactly the kind of knowledgeable and passionate talent we need to support our expansion throughout Victoria.”

Despite turbulent conditions, Victorian regional property markets have enjoyed significant capital growth of 4.6 per cent over the past year, according to CoreLogic, driving Belle’s expansion across their most sought-after coastal and rural lifestyle regions.

“Our homes have never been more important and as work from home arrangements allow us to prioritise lifestyle over centrality, this is a critical moment for the state’s local talent and we’re excited to aide them to achieve their business goals,” Mr Hanscomb said.

Demand for lifestyle and high-end property has been growing in Geelong and Torquay, with Mr Julian seeing some of his best results in the most recent months despite the challenging conditions in Victoria.

“Geelong is the second biggest city in Victoria, and it has been growing rapidly for years, but this year we’ve seen a mass exodus from Melbourne which has been driving extensive interest and strong results,” Mr Julian said.

“While we have always had around 50 per cent of buyers from outside the area, now with work from home arrangements being more acceptable and people reconsidering their lifestyles, current online searches for our region are up more than 30 per cent compared to last year.”

Informed by the great success Belle Property Daylesford has enjoyed over the past six months, including a record breaking 30 unconditional sales in July at the peak of lockdown, Principals Will Walton and Peter Douglas were motivated to enter the Trentham area and service the Hepburn Shire.

Of the new opening, Mr Walton said Trentham is “an attractive gateway to the Daylesford region for urban dwellers, offering every luxury of a rural setting – beautiful vistas, low density living, abundant food and dining, and accessible cost of living – within an hour of the cosmopolitan CBD”.

In 2019, the Belle Property network merged with Hockingstuart, with 24 Belle Property branded offices in the Victorian market and a plan to continue to build the network throughout the state.
