Kate Pierson, co-founder of The B-52s, has put her rustic New York cabin on the market, offering fans a chance to own a slice of music history.
Known as “Kate’s Lazy Cabin,” the 1,334-square-foot property has hit the market for $750,000 (about AUD $1.1 million).
The 1952-built home sits on two wooded acres just minutes from the centre of Woodstock, an area steeped in bohemian culture and creativity.

Pierson, 77, who formed The B-52s in 1976 alongside Fred Schneider, Cindy Wilson, Ricky Wilson and Keith Strickland, infused the home with the same playful, kitschy style that shaped the band’s image and sound.
Inside, the three-bedroom cabin features wood-panelled rooms, exposed beams, hand-painted murals and mid-century décor.

While two bathrooms have been recently updated and a new HVAC system installed, the property is in need of a full renovation.
Original 1950s appliances still remain in the kitchen, while Native American-inspired murals and colourful motifs are scattered throughout the walls and ceilings.

The New York Post reported Pierson shares the property with her wife, artist Monica Coleman.
The couple are no strangers to real estate ventures, having previously operated a series of retro-inspired motels and rentals, including “Kate’s Lazy Desert” in Joshua Tree and “Kate’s Lazy Cape” on Cape Cod.
They also sold another local venture, “Kate’s Lazy Lodging,” for $2.25 million (AUD $3.35 million) in 2021.
Although not their primary residence, the Woodstock cabin has served as a private retreat, but now Pierson and Coleman are ready to pass it on to new owners who can put their own stamp on its character-filled interiors.
