Di Jones staff are rallying behind one of their team members Kate McCullagh, who is battling cancer for a second time. This includes the auction of staff donated limited edition artworks to assist with medical and general living expenses.
Art collector and Di Jones sales agent Gary Sands has donated two artworks from his private collection to help raise funds for Kate of the Southern Highlands team who has been diagnosed with breast cancer once again after battling the illness for the first time in 2014.
Di Jones CEO Rob Ward said staff at the agency were assisting with fundraising efforts by also making personal contributions to assist covering medical bills and expenses while Kate undergoes treatment.
โWe were saddened to hear that Kateโs cancer has returned and wanted to help take as much stress away during this difficult time by making contributions that will allow her to focus on her treatment and health. We want to support her and her family and help in any way we can.
โDi Jones team members have made personal contributions to assist with her expenses and Gary has kindly donated two works from accomplished Australian visual artist Francis Packer, son of the late Clyde Packer.โ
The inspiration behind Mr. Packerโs artwork was a garden, built in his home in California, that became a tribute to his partner who passed away in the 9/11 attack. This garden inspired much of his photography in this series.
โThe garden inspired pieces for auction are โDahliaโ and โSchom Tibiscinisโ and are unique editions of the photographs making them more desirable and increasing their significance,โ Mr Ward said.
The works were purchased from Olsen Gallery in 2014 at the Francis Packer 2LA exhibition and are being auctioned on the Bidding For Good website – www.biddingforgood.com/dijones from 30th November 2017 and closing 14th December 2017 at 9.00pm.
