Mr Crowell joins Ray White Queensland after nine years as Personal Excellence & Wellbeing Manager at the Brisbane Lions, where he played a pivotal role in the club’s transformation from struggling side to back-to-back premiership winners in 2024 and 2025.
“Sports and real estate have a lot of crossover,” Mr Crowell said.
“Both demand peak performance under pressure, resilience when things don’t go to plan, and the ability to switch on and off at exactly the right time. I want to work with high performing people not just athletes and I have admired Ray White for some time now and the time was right for me to tackle a new challenge.”
A former AFL player who represented the Adelaide Crows across 44 games, Mr Crowell brings a unique combination of elite athletic experience and professional counselling expertise to his new role.
Ray White Queensland CEO Jason Andrew said the appointment reflects the leading group’s commitment to supporting its people both inside and outside the workplace.
“We pride ourselves on mixing wisdom and energy across our corporate team. Andrew gives our leaders access to something they haven’t had before, an individual who will address performance by understanding what’s happening in people’s lives beyond work,” Mr Andrew said.
“We felt we required a highly specialised skill set to work with our businesses, and Andrew epitomises our ‘best in market’ philosophy.”
Before joining the Lions, Mr Crowell worked with the AFL Players’ Association as Regional Manager across five clubs, and developed the Ladder program tackling youth homelessness in Port Adelaide, demonstrating his commitment to supporting people through challenging transitions.
“My whole aim is to see everyone working as the best version of themselves,” Mr Crowell said.
“High performance isn’t about being perfect every day. It’s about reducing the gap between your best and worst because normal life means things don’t always go well.”
Growing up on a farm on South Australia’s Yorke Peninsula, he credits his rural upbringing with instilling the values that continue to drive his work: hard work, humility, resilience, and genuine care for people.
In his new role, Mr Crowell will work directly with Ray White Queensland business owners and leaders to build high-performing, sustainable workplace cultures.
Ray White Queensland has been a very proud partner of the Brisbane Lions for the last two years.
Ray White Queensland started backing the Brisbane Lions during one of the most challenging periods in the club’s history.
The partnership was formed mid season at a time when the Lions were struggling at 13th on the ladder after five consecutive losses.
The Brisbane Lions General Manager Adam Spackman reflected on the unexpected alliance at the time, stating, “We were so surprised when Ray White came in, given how we were playing. Few believed in us but they did.”
Ray White Queensland understands it’s about more than just wins and losses; it was about aligning the shared values of resilience, teamwork, and commitment.
