“This is a natural progression for me,” Mr Zink said, who will serve as sole director of the five-staff operation.

The qualified tap teacher, who has been tap dancing since the age of 4, is well known in the performing arts community.
His mum, Toni Zink recently sold her famous Bling Performing Arts School.
“Dancing taught me timing and how a lot in life is to do with your mindset. I love to dance, it’s a great release. I am in real estate for the long game. You don’t just turn up, it takes time and I am strong and fit to be a leader. My mind is clear, and my eyes are firmly on the future.
“I have an expectation in my office to only treat people how you want to be treated and I am living true to my words. Be ‘a good human’ is my mantra and that’s why I get such a lot of referrals. Most of my business is through referrals.”
The transition, which settles on July 1, will see Ty Zink maintain operational continuity while implementing his vision for enhanced client service. His team includes senior sales consultant Alyta Brinkworth, property management specialist Rosie Porter, marketing coordinator Lara Elaco, and administrative support from Errin Jane, with cadet salesperson Harry Taylor completing the dedicated group.
Beyond real estate, Zink is deeply embedded in the local community through his involvement in junior soccer coaching and his family’s connection to Newcastle’s performing arts scene.
As a father of four children aged 6-15, he understands the importance of work-life balance and has implemented clear boundaries to ensure his team can thrive both professionally and personally.
“I believe in finding balance and supporting my team with strong systems,” Mr Zink said.
“When people can focus on what they do best, everyone benefits – our team, our clients, and the community.”
The office will continue operating under established practices while introducing Zink’s proven methods that have delivered consistent results across Lake Macquarie.
With typically 15 open inspections running weekly, the team maintains an active presence in the local market.
In a full circle moment, Ty Zink’s first sale more than 10 years ago was in Caves Beach, a property that sold within a week off-market.
