An energised LJ Hooker network is attracting staff in a changing market.ย
The Announcement:
LJ Hooker has announced it has recorded a 60 per cent increase in the number of professionals joining its network over the past 12 months, with established offices leading the recruitment drive.
Across Australia, 1,010 people joined the LJ Hooker network with property management attracting the highest number of new team members. It was followed by sales and support teams.ย
General Manager of Network, Stephen Mutton, said the growth shows LJ Hooker is an attraction brand and with the right team and resources in place to help grow careers.ย
โThe increase tells us that people value the opportunities and support provided by LJ Hooker,โ he said.
โTo have continued to have grown, particularly due charging market conditions, is proof that people look to brands they know, like and trust and LJ Hooker is exactly that.โ
The network recorded a 21 per cent increase in the number of new franchise owners in 2022.ย
โWe are laser focused on growth โ recruiting new offices and helping our existing offices growth through recruitment and mergers and acquisitions,โ Mr Mutton said.
โIn the last 12 months, weโve assisted many of our franchise owners in opening in new locations, re-brand offices theyโve bought to LJ Hooker and purchase rent rolls.ย
โWe are committed to the people who have committed to us – we donโt take a set-and-forget approach; we have an energised corporate team working side-by-side with our franchise owners to achieve their goals.โย
Innovation is also key to expanding the LJ Hooker network, with investment in digital marketing and state-of-the-art technologies proving attractive to new employees. This includes its online training platform, called Lighthouse, which launched in June last year, to provide additional support and training for staff. ย
Property management continues to be a key focus for many LJ Hooker offices with the number of employees in this area up by almost 70 per cent from 2021.ย
Mr Mutton said specialist coaches within the corporate team are helping to nurture the next generation of professionals in this growing and important sector.ย
โThe rental market is such a big part of the Australian real estate economy, so we need to ensure that our property managers are constantly upskilling and can access the support they need,โ Mr Mutton said.ย
