Former Port Adelaide captain Travis Boak has listed his custom-designed Adelaide home at 1 Fairfield Avenue, Somerton Park, following his move back to Melbourne to take up a new leadership and culture role with Carlton.
The property attracted significant buyer interest over the weekend, with more than 100 groups attending the first open inspection.
According to Ray White data, it was the busiest open home nationally last week.
The listing is being marketed by Rod Smitheram, sales executive and auctioneer at Ray White Glenelg, who said interest came from a mix of local buyers, AFL supporters and interstate enquiries.

“It was so busy,” Mr Smitheram said.
Boak, Port Adelaide’s 387-game record holder, built the residence as a personal retreat from the demands of elite professional sport.
While it was his second home, it was his first time undertaking a full build, with the design and construction process spanning close to three years.

“I wanted to build something that when I came home from footy I could walk in and just be completely at peace,” Mr Boak said.
Completed in 2015 by a local Adelaide builder, the four-bedroom, three-bathroom home offers approximately 400sqm of internal living on a 1000sqm allotment.

The scale of the residence is evident from the moment of entry, with four-metre ceilings throughout the front hall and master suite.
The master bedroom also features a walk-in robe and ensuite, while two separate living areas provide flexibility for family life and entertaining.
A dedicated home theatre adds another layer of versatility, with the option to be used as an additional bedroom or living space.
The kitchen sits at the centre of the home and is supported by a butler’s pantry and integrated SMEG appliances.

During his playing career, Mr Boak maintained a high-performance lifestyle at home, including working with a personal chef to prepare meals aligned with his nutritional requirements.
He has previously credited his longevity in the AFL to continually reassessing his “purpose and your why”.
Outdoor areas were designed with both recovery and lifestyle in mind. A tiled, heated swimming pool, private gym, outdoor kitchen and barbecue area sit within a generous rear yard, while a private theatre room was created as a dedicated space for rest and relaxation.
The home also includes an oversized double garage, along with two additional off-street car spaces.
Mr Boak retired from AFL football in 2025 after a 19-year career that began when he was drafted by Port Adelaide with pick five in the 2006 national draft.
His move to Melbourne marks the start of a new chapter, with Mr Boak joining Carlton in the newly created role of Head of Leadership and Culture.
