Andy Byron, former CEO of Astronomer, has sold his Tribeca apartment for $US5.8 million ($AUD8.9 million), according to Domain.
The sale comes four months after Byron was caught on camera in a compromising position with an employee at a Coldplay concert.
The off-market transaction netted the Byrons a modest profit over the $US5.43 million ($AUD8.37 million) they paid for the property in 2022.
The incident that preceded the property sale occurred on July 16 at a Coldplay concert in Boston, where Byron was filmed with his arms around Kristin Cabot, Astronomer’s chief people officer.
When the pair realised they were being projected onto the arena’s jumbotron, they quickly separated, with Byron ducking to avoid being seen.
The awkward moment was captured and uploaded to TikTok, where it quickly went viral, garnering millions of views and widespread media attention.
Just three days after the concert incident, on July 19, Byron resigned from his position as CEO of Astronomer.
Cabot also stepped down from her role as chief people officer at the company.
The luxury Tribeca apartment that the Byrons have now sold is located on Washington Street in a warehouse conversion.
The fourth-floor residence features four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms across 258 square metres of living space.
The property boasts several high-end features including white-painted brick walls, soaring ceilings, and generous windows that flood the space with natural light.
The kitchen is fitted with Italian oak cabinetry and Calacatta marble countertops, while the north-facing rooms offer views of the Hudson River.
Unlike many high-profile real estate transactions in New York, the Byrons’ apartment sale was conducted off market and was not advertised on popular real estate platforms.
