Located in the picturesque foothills of Kurrajong in the Hawkesbury region of NSW, the historic property has served many lives: a family home, a local store, a charming B&B and wedding venue, and most recently, a filming location for the hit reality show.
The estate was featured in the 2021 and 2022 seasons of Farmer Wants a Wife, where final brides prepared for their weddings, with scenes shot in front of the iconic mirror and on the wraparound verandah.
“The production team even stayed in the cottage the night before,” says vendor Marisa Gallo, who has co-owned the property with her husband Guido for the past eight years.

Set across just over an acre, Plynlimmon includes the original 1860s cottage, a separate three-bedroom caretaker’s cottage, and a rare timber slab barn – plus sweeping terraced gardens that earned the couple the Hawkesbury Local Business Award for Tourism and Accommodation in 2021.
But beyond the cameras and accolades, Plynlimmon holds deeper roots. In the late 1800s, then-owner Alfred Jones donated part of the land to build the Anglican church next door, which still stands today.
The property also doubled as a store in the early 1900s, with remnants of a trapdoor and service window still visible in the original cottage.

“We always saw ourselves more as custodians than owners,” says Ms Gallo. “We feel privileged to have lived here and want the next owner to love it as much as we have.”
Ray White North Richmond’s Cindy Cash, who is managing the sale, describes the property as “like something from the pages of a storybook.”
“It blends timeless charm with modern comfort,” she says. “It’s ideal for someone looking for a peaceful lifestyle or a unique business opportunity.”
