Comedian Joe Salanitri, one-third of the Sooshi Mango comedy trio, is farewelling the Mount Waverley home that has been the backdrop to a decade of family memories.
Mr Salantiri and his wife Georgina have listed their three-bedroom unit at 1/50 Fairview Road, represented by Andrew Dimashki from Ray White Judd White Group.
The couple, who have outgrown the property, say it’s a bittersweet move after raising their children there.
“We have beautiful memories in the home – it’s where our kids were born,” Mr Salanitri said. “But we’re a growing family and it was time to move on.”

The comedian fondly recalled one moment from the day his son was born that perfectly captures the character of the neighbourhood.
“We were on our way to the hospital when an elderly neighbour stopped me – his wife had fallen and he needed help. I helped him up, and ever since that day he’s spoiled my son. He was a lovely man who looked after the whole street. It’s a really lovely area,” he said.
The single-level corner unit blends practicality with modern style. It features three bedrooms (two with built-in robes), a light-filled lounge and dining area with polished floorboards, and a modern kitchen equipped with stone benches, a 900mm Ilve oven, LG dishwasher and a walk-in pantry.
The skylit family bathroom has floor-to-ceiling tiles, while outside, a private courtyard provides space for entertaining. Comfort is covered with ducted heating, split system air conditioning, and a single garage with extra driveway parking.

The home sits within the Ashwood High School and Essex Heights Primary catchments, close to Dampier Creek Reserve, Mount Waverley Secondary College, and public transport options; a combination that continues to make the suburb a favourite among families.

Agent Andrew Dimashki described the property as a standout opportunity for young families and first-home buyers.
“It’s a fantastic property – a unit on a corner allotment, so it feels like its own home,” he said.
“It’s had a modern renovation with a new bathroom, it’s single-level, and there’s a massive courtyard out the front. The location is great, close to top schools, transport and right across from the golf club.”

For the Salanitris, leaving the home is as emotional as it is practical.
“We’ve had so many good memories with family and friends,” Joe said.

Mount Waverley continues to be a family-friendly suburb in high demand, with proximity to educational institutions, recreational facilities, and transportation links adding to its appeal for various buyer demographics.
